Tom Counos and Tom Cocanower will be presenting on the Rotary Foundation and our club’s own Bill Berg Foundation.
The Rotary Foundation is Rotary International’s foundation for funding Rotary International’s six causes:
- Promoting peace
- Providing clean water
- Saving mothers and children
- Supporting education
- Growing local economies
- Fighting disease
Our club’s Bill Berg Foundation was formed in 1995 to provide a permanent fund from which youth-related projects in our community can be funded.

Brad is responsible for the leadership and direction of the organization, as well as for communicating the Land Trust’s mission to the public. Brad provides overall supervision of fundraising activities, land and conservation easement acquisitions and land management activities. Brad was one of the original founders of the Land Trust, the first President of the Board and became the Executive Director in 1997. Prior to starting the Land Trust, Brad was the Property and Real Estate Manager for Deschutes County. Brad earned a B.G.S. in Economics and Geography from the University of Kansas and his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College. Brad is an avid backpacker, skier and cyclist and enjoys being outside with his wife Brenda.
