International Projects

International Projects

There are literally thousands of Rotary International Projects to take part in. In many cases two or more clubs form different parts of the world collaborate to take on a project. Some are rather small and others are large taking part over years. Local clubs often send their members to the on-site location to help out.

Below we have listed some of the Global Grants that our club as participated in:

Global Grant  (grant year 2013-14) 285 bio sand water filters (includes training, installation, maintenance and follow-up) for 285 impoverished households in San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala. Approx number of individuals impacted: 2,000. Total Grant Amount: $42,750 (club portion of total grant amount $6250)

Global Grant  (grant year 2015-16) School sanitation system (toilet block) for the Mt. Carmel Elementary School in San Ignacio, Belize. Approx number of students/teachers impacted: 700. Total Grant Amount: $36,898 (club portion of total grant amount $5000)

District Grant (international) (grant year 2016-17) 20 Lenovo Chromebook computers for an elementary school in Tlaquepaque, Mexico (sister school of the Bend International School). Total Grant Amount: $4000 (club portion of total grant amount $2000)
