This year our 31st Annual Peace Conference will occur on Saturday, October 24, 2020, and because it will be held virtually we have expanded our outreach to Rotarians in Zones 26 and 27 and offer it free of charge.
We invite you to participate; and we request that in your communications with your district Rotarians, you help us get the word out to those interested in learning about and promoting peace. This year’s apt theme is:
We have a number of illustrious speakers including immediate past Rotary International President, Mark Daniel Maloney.

On Tuesday, March 10th 2020, our lunch program is our annual Invention Convention.
Every year, Rotary Club of Greater Bend hosts the “Invention Convention” where students from Miller Elementary School are encouraged to think up (and present to the club and their family members) their inventions to “save the world” or just make life a little easier for all of us. It’s absolutely amazing what ideas these young entrepreneurs come up with and this event always leaves us feeling more positive about the future! Club members help with judging which takes a good half day since virtually every student at the school takes part in this fun event! |
The semi-annual clean-up of Highway 20 is open to all members of the Rotary Club of Greater Bend. The Spring cleaning this year is scheduled for Saturday, 28 March. Starting time is 9:00 am. Like we have previously done, suggest we meet at the Tumalo Coffee House (19855 4th Street in Tumalo) on 28 March between 0830 -0900 hrs.
We will supply safety vests, plastic bags, pickup tools, etc. We can refine our pickup strategy based on how many folks show up. A lot of trash has accumulated since our last pick-up, so the more folks that help out the faster it will go. Friends and family members are welcome.
Strongly encourage everyone to bring water and gloves.
See photos of the last cleanup event here.
