Recently, our Donations Committee gave a grant to J Bar J Ranch to help them purchase and install a greenhouse.
We received this today from J Bar J:
“Thanks to the generous gift by the Donations Committee from the Greater Bend Rotary Club membership, J Bar J was able to purchase and install a greenhouse at their Hamby Rd property. This greenhouse has been up and running for a several months and is now the starting point for many youths’ horticultural journey. The greenhouse is full of plant starts that were planted by youth residing at The Ranch program. Youth are learning the process of growing your own food from start to finish. So many life lessons are wrapped up in this endeavor and this is only possible because of your generosity. “
