Speaker Presentation Instructions

Equipment

You don’t need to bring anything, as long as your presentation is available online (via Google Docs, Canvas, Google Photos, YouTube, etc.). We run our AV from a Chromebook laptop, and there’s good WiFi available in our meeting room.

If you’d prefer to run a presentation from your own laptop, feel free to bring that. You’ll need an HDMI port to connect to the projector for video/audio. If you’re bringing your own laptop, please arrive by 11:45 to test the connection, make sure your display and audio settings work with the projector, etc.

If you have something on a phone or tablet, we will not be able to play that. You’ll need to import that into something like Google Slides, YouTube, etc.

Be sure to share your presentation with rotaryclubofgreaterbendoregon@gmail.com!

Wifi

For WiFi at the Riverhouse (main building AND the Convention Center), connect to “Riverhouse Guest”, and the password is:

River

Presentation Format

Anything you can show from a web browser we can show on our system. If you have a PowerPoint, please import it into Google Slides, so we can play it from there. If you bring a USB drive to the meeting, we likely won’t be able to play anything from it.

Recording

We record each meeting with Zoom, and have an iPhone doing the video and sound. The quality is just OK, so if you want a professional-quality video recording, you’ll need to arrange for that yourself. We’re happy to share the link to our meeting recording with you afterwards–it will include everything from the president opening the meeting, announcements, etc. as well as your presentation.
