On Tuesday, September 24th 2019, our lunch speaker will be Senator Tim Knopp – District 27 – Bend.
Knopp served three terms in the Oregon House of Representatives. He was first elected in 1998 and left the House in 2005. Knopp was majority leader in 2003. Knopp was first elected to the Oregon Senate in 2012. At the time, he was executive vice president of the Central Oregon Home Builders and a past president of the Deschutes County Republican Central Committee. In 2014, Knopp was named deputy caucus leader of the Oregon Senate Republicans. |
Tim Knopp is a native Oregonian who has lived in Central Oregon for nearly 39 years. He and his wife, Melissa, have been married over 30 years and have 4 children.
His background includes nearly 20 years as a small business owner and community service as a former little league coach and board member of the Bend Chamber of Commerce as well as serving as a current board member of affordable housing non-profit, First Story.
